About:
John brings over thirty years of experience in business, focusing on helping organizations— their people, clients and investors—thrive by creating great cultures, leaders and human capital practices. His expertise has centered on helping leaders inspire their people to produce their best and aligning individual and organizational goals, motivations, and outcomes. He has been a member of a variety of executive leadership teams in his career. In his consulting practice he focuses on three areas:
Leadership Coaching and Development, helping leaders be their best selves to capitalize on their strengths and address blind-spots,
Human Performance, helping teams become highly effective systems, leveraging and amplifying each other’s strengths, and
Human Resources, mentoring talent management executives and teams as they become essential members of the organization’s management team.
John holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Music from Hamilton College. John is deeply committed to supporting the community and has served on the Boards (including serving as board chair) of Summer Search (a youth mentoring organization), Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay, The Meyer Friedman Institute (which conducted groundbreaking research into the connection between behavioral styles and cardiovascular disease), and the California Strategic Human Resources Partnership (a consortium of CHROs of Bay Area companies).
