About:

Greg has over 30 years of experience in business – people practices, marketing, and finance – including more than 20 years in leadership development, recruitment, engagement and retention, and belonging. He is a dedicated bridge builder, with a passion for finding places where seemingly disparate perspectives meet. In turn, he helps experienced and emerging leaders alike to look deeply within themselves, find greater common ground with their colleagues, and achieve greater possibilities through more-successful collaboration.

Through his independent consulting practice and previously as a Director of Consulting with Korn Ferry (formerly Global Novations), Greg has served a wide variety of industries and sectors including clients in technology, life sciences and pharmaceuticals, consumer products, financial services, manufacturing, government, and non-profit:

  • Led or co-led numerous organizational assessments aimed at strengthening people practices. These assessments have consistently defined actionable business impacts including incremental revenue opportunities, available cost savings, more-inclusive people policies, practices and systems, etc.

  • Designed, co-designed, and/or delivered numerous leadership development talent development programs and sponsorship initiatives. Initial successes often have led clients to expand these programs.

  • During a period of major industry and organizational change, engaged with a large life sciences company to coach multiple cohorts of new front-line and middle managers not only to navigate the changes but also to consciously evolve their own coaching styles and capabilities.

  • Coached U.S. leader in a global retail and consumer products company to assume her first VP role, in which she relocated to Asia and successfully led a major cultural transformation and business transformation in the region.

Greg’s background in product marketing includes management of global $1 billion+ product line at Hewlett-Packard (HP). Building on his experiences as a line-of-business manager, he coaches leaders and teams to (1) build trust and connect with each other more genuinely, (2) define compelling business rationales for essential people practices that demonstrably support overall business priorities, (3) perform root-cause analysis of workplace and marketplace people challenges, and (4) define pragmatic tactical solutions for the challenges they face.

In all of his work, Greg draws on studies, research, and practices in Bhakti yoga, compassion cultivation, and mindful self-awareness. He is a certified teacher of the Compassion Cultivation Training program developed by the Stanford University Department of Neurosurgery at the request of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
