About:
Eric Nehrlich is an executive coach who helps stressed leaders work less and have more impact. He loves to identify and challenge mindsets and habits that hold people back from their next level of leadership. A common example is the domain expert who knows all the answers and solves all the problems themselves, but struggles with staying in all the details as their scope grows. Eric helps leaders navigate those transitions by working with them to consciously direct their time and attention to their unique capabilities, while learning to coach others to handle the work they once did.
Before becoming a coach, Eric spent 20 years working in the tech industry, first as an engineer and product manager across several startups before joining Google, eventually leading business strategy and operations for the Google Search Ads team for six years as Chief of Staff. He also serves as a mentor for First Round First Track and The Forem as a way to pay forward the mentorship that he’s received in his career. He published his first book in 2023, You Have A Choice: Beyond Hard Work to Meaningful Impact, which he wrote to share the principles and mindsets that have helped him and his clients with a wider audience.
